Monster Island is the official name of The Asylum’s mockbuster 2019, which was released just in time for Godzilla: King of the Monsters. Because this film is about an asylum, the budget is approximately equivalent to a large child's meal. It makes efficient use of its Monster Island Decker Shado resources. Because the film is focused on a limited number of human characters, it keeps its most notable actors to a single set. This allows them to shoot their scenes during lunch break. We must not forget that this film is about kaiju and, well... that's how they do it. So maybe The Asylum won’t do so terrible with it?
